ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION
Led by Artistic Director Stuart Carden and Executive Director Angela Gieras, Kansas City Repertory Theatre is a 60-year-old regional theater. KCRep is the professional theatre in residence on the UMKC campus. Spencer Theatre, a 550-seat modified thrust theatre, is housed in the Olson Performing Arts Center. Copaken Stage is our 319 seat LORT D space, which is housed in the H&R Block world headquarters in downtown KC. The subscription season currently consists of four productions as well as the annual special presentation of A Christmas Carol and an annual community tour in the spring.
JOB OVERVIEW
The Production Electrician assists the Head Electrician with the hanging, focusing, and programming of lighting equipment used for each KCRep production. The Electrician will also assist in maintain shows, repair, and maintenance of equipment, and general clean up. This position will also assist the Lighting and Video Supervisor and Master Electrician to ensure that all projection elements for shows are in accordance with Projection Designer specks, maintain equipment, troubleshoot, and install gear for each KCRep production. The Production Electrician will also be the lighting board operator for most of KCRep productions.
